Inclusive Growth for India's Farmers

Dr. Bhavarlal H. Jain (Bhau), founder and chairman of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL), was out on his early morning walk across JISL’s sprawling corporate campus on the outskirts of the city of Jalgaon, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra. He strolled with his son and the firm’s managing directora , Anil Jain (Anil), through lush fields where agronomists and scientists were experimenting with various crops as diverse as mango and rice, and the two worked to develop a long-term view of a company that had reinvented itself many times over its short history.
